Description

Exterior Deluxe Silver window tinting film is designed to be applied on the outside of your windows. Exterior films are used primarily when there is some reason why the film can’t be applied to the interior of the glass, such as obstructions or existing graphics. They are designed to weather the elements better than interior films, but because they are applied to the exterior, their life expectancy is less than their interior counterparts.

Note: People outside will be able to see in through this film whenever the light inside the window is greater than it is outside. For example, an office building that you can't see into during the day, may allow you to view people working at night in their offices. In this situation, the amount of privacy will be determined by the VLT (visible light transmission) of the film. A lower VLT (Variable Light Transmission) will reduce (but not eliminate) the visibility of anything inside the window.

We are ordering another 60" X 40' for a large yacht. This product really does well outside - we have applied it on boats that have had it on for over 6 years and it still looks excellent! (Outside in a Salt Water environment) Cleaning has not been too tricky - just follow standard procedures for this type of product. Read how to care for this film and follow the instructions.

Installed on a 59’ Yacht 2 years ago - still looks like new! Another big boat had this installed and the owner was very happy with it. Since the installation the owner reports that it has almost completely ended any need for air conditioning. And when he does need to turn it on, the air conditioner can easily keep the whole boat cool whereas before, it could not really keep it comfortable on hot hot days. They said in general it has made the boat way more comfortable in the main salon area, where most of the large windows allow for a ton of light. They also reported that the view from inside is better and the mirror look on the outside looks cool and updated. Also - it has proven itself to be easy to clean without scratching - a big initial concern.

The window tint was used on the exterior of 2 sky lights since the exterior was easier to work on. A large tree which provided shade was removed thus necessitating the need to reduce the heat and light coming into the room. The tint's effectiveness has made the room as comfortable as when the tree was there.
